Konstantinos Moukas

Konstantinos Moukas was born in 1971 in Athens. In 1996 he graduated from the Athens School of Philosophy in the philological domain and continued with postgraduate studies focusing on modern Greek poetry and literary theory. He actively participated in this field of research with papers, conference presentations and academic paper amendments.

In 2001 he was in a car accident. Almost a year later, as a wheelchair user / paraplegic (θ7), initially for rehabilitation reasons, Kostas started playing wheelchair basketball. Since then and up until 2015 he was an active member of the Marousi wheelchair basketball team contributing to the team’s respective distinctions (namely championships, cups in Greece and abroad).

In 2002-3 he came in contact with his teacher in traditional Wushu Dimitris Doukas and started training at A.S.Kerameikos.

Through the exercise, Kung Fu helped him complete his rehabilitation and gain terms of full autonomy.

In particular, he trained in the Chinese traditional styles Ying Zhao Fan Zi Men (Eagle Claw), Nei Jia Quan (Inner Fist-Xing Yi, Ba Gua, Tai Ji), Shuai Jiao (Chinese Wrestling) and Sanda. He practiced meditation and qigong.

He has attended seminars with Lily Lau in eagle, Niu Sheng Xian in inner fist, Liu Zu Guang in Chinese wrestling, Lars J.E.Larsen in relaxation exercises and many others.

He is in open contact with teachers in Greece and abroad, studying various styles and actively following the events of Wushu both in practice and theory.

He has participated in many seminars and has taught Wushu and independent living to disabled and non-disabled people.

He taught inclusive Wushu at the 2022 coaching school and is in constant contact with institutions and initiatives on Wushu/equalities/independent living/inclusive sport issues.

In 2014 he successfully passed the Wushu-Kung Fu Coaching School exams, organized by the E.O.G.S.K.F. together with the General Secretariat of Sports, obtaining a Wushu (taolu-sanda), C category diploma.
He started teaching Kung Fu in 2014 and in the spring of 2015 (15 May) he founded his own school, the A.S Mahitiki Akadimia Platonos. He and his school are recognized by the General Secretariat of Sports. As a teacher who uses wheelchair, he teaches wushu to disabled and non-disabled people inclusively. All together…

All these years he participated in shows and festivals and remains an active athlete.

  • He is an active Sanda judge of the Hellenic Wushu/Kungfu Federation (HWKF).
  • He is a holder of a B judge’s degree in Sanda and a C judge’s degree in Taolu from HWKF.
  • He has attended Sanda coaching seminars (all levels) and the seminar with coaches from the World Wushu Federation (Wushu Coaching Seminar 9-11 June 2014) by the HWKF and the majority of the HWKF seminars.
  • He has accreditation as a judge from the European Shuai Jiao association and participation in the corresponding seminars and European championship.
  • He has an instructor’s degree from the Greek Shuai Jiao association and served as secretary of the association.
  • He was elected 3 years ago to the board of directors and is active as a member of the Hellenic Wushu Kung fu Federation.

He has co-founded PARAWUSHU with shifu K.Athanasiou and with athletes with disabilities practicing in the association and other clubs after this example and they still maintain the right to participate in championships with legitimate scoring and under normal high-level sports competition conditions.
